A lash map in one minute

A lash map is the plan for your set. Before a single lash is placed, we decide how long each lash should be, where the lift should sit, which way the lashes should point and what overall shape suits your eye. At The Ffrench Lash, that plan is drawn digitally at your consultation, so every set is designed lash by lash around you.

The four things a lash map decides

  • Length. Where your lashes are shorter and where they are longer. A soft look might be shorter at the inner corner and build towards the outer edge.
  • Lift. How much the set lifts and opens the eye, from a gentle line close to your natural lashes to a more pronounced sweep.
  • Direction. The way the lashes fan, from straight and natural to swept outwards towards the temple.
  • Shape. The overall effect, from rounded and natural to a soft or defined cat eye.

You can watch an example being drawn on our lash map demo. It is an example only, because your own is made around your own eyes.

What we look at to design yours

  • Your eye shape. Where length and lift should sit to flatter your natural shape.
  • Your natural lashes. Their strength, density and direction, so your set stays healthy.
  • The look you want. Soft and natural, or lifted and defined, for how you live day to day.

Why we design it digitally

A digital lash map lets us plan with care and show you the result before we begin. It means your set is designed, not picked from a menu. For a first visit we also ask for a clear photo of your natural lashes before your appointment, so your design is ready when you arrive.
